Mama La’s Story
Born in Vietnam, Kim Su Tran La (known affectionately as “Mama La”) ˛ed in 1980 with her husband and seven children after witnessing the Communist regime in her home country. Armed with her extensive knowledge of Vietnamese cooking passed down from her moth-er-in-law, Mama La managed to memorize over 250 recipes before finding her passion in the kitchen serving others. Her food quickly gained the following of thousands of fans along with the admiration and loyalty of many of Vietnam’s top restaurant cities.Mama La’s talent in the kitchen has surprised the toughest food critics and paved the way for her latest endeavor, Mama La’s Kitchen.
In addition, she has also garnered praise through a number of prestigious magazines, such as Bon Appétit, Esquire, and Food & Wine. Mama La thanks you for your continued support of her endeavors.
